LSE-listed gold and uranium development company Neo Energy Metals has announced that De Wet Schutte has stepped down from his role as a director and CFO of the company by mutual agreement.

Schutte served as Neo Energy Metals CFO and director for just over right months following his appointment in December 2025.

The departure comes as Neo Energy advances pre-development work at its New Beisa brownfield uranium and gold project in South Africa’s Free State province, having recently secured site access from JSE-listed mining and metals processing group Sibanye-Stillwater to begin a fully funded assessment programme ahead of the transfer of the Beatrix 4 Shaft mining right.
