South Africa-focused uranium and gold company Neo Energy Metals has suspended CFO De Wet Schutte while it investigates allegations of misconduct, which it stresses are not  in respect to any financial mismanagement, impropriety or wrongdoing and that the company's financial position has not been impacted.

"The company and its board of directors continue to work to the highest standards of governance and integrity," the LSE- and A2X-listed company states.

It notes that Martin Westerman has been appointed to oversee the company's financial function from immediate effect.
