Innovative sealing solutions aid safety, adaptability

FLEXIBILITY The flexibility and reliability of Roxtec solutions make them useful for efficient gas, dust and water protection
UNDERGROUND SOLUTION Roxtec's product range includes seals for bonding, grounding and electromagnetic shielding as well as for use in underground applications and hazardous locations
Modular sealing solutions provider Roxtec Africa says its sealing solutions offer certified protection against multiple hazards such as fire, gas and water. The seals are available in different versions and materials to cover the needs and requirements of projects within shipbuilding, oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and the process industries.
Roxtec Africa will be displaying the seals best suited to mining environments at Electra Mining Africa 2026. These include distribution board and cabinet entry seals for field cabling; seals suited for containerised applications such as motor control centres (MCCs) and substations; and seals suited for mining equipment such as underground vehicles, motors and transformer enclosures, among others.
Its cable entry solutions, which are ideal for field-based terminal boxes, electric heat trace cabinets, remote input/output cabinets, distributed control system and/or programmable logic controller cabinets and other high cable density applications in harsh environments, will be on display.
Roxtec notes that its entry seals can be used in walls, floors, decks, bulkheads, cabinets, enclosures and equipment. The product range includes seals for bonding, grounding and electromagnetic shielding as well as for use in underground applications and hazardous locations.
Meanwhile, its cable, pipe and conduit seals, ensure safety, efficiency and operational reliability, while allowing end users to save time in all phases, from design and installation through to inspection and retrofit.
Roxtec invented Multidiameter for flexibility by sealing modules with removable layers. It enables area-efficient sealing of multiple cables and pipes of different sizes and creates an option to design with the capacity to expand in line with the customer’s future needs.
Moreover, the flexibility and reliability of Roxtec solutions make them useful for gas, dust and water protection for substations and MCCs through to processing facilities and operator centres. The seals can be used for most everything, whether communication shelters and substations, or conveyor belt drives and excavators.
The company urges Electra visitors to use its seals because they help operations meet international safety requirements and allows clients to easily adapt to changes in their cable schedules or incorporate additional cables of varying sizes.
Roxtec’s sealing experts work together with operators, design engineers, and installers to provide support – from front-end engineering design to construction, retrofit and expansion. With global coverage and assistance from the headquarters in Sweden, Roxtec enables smooth collaboration in large projects.
