Patterson Lake South

Patterson Lake South is an undeveloped uranium deposit located in the Athabasca Basin region of northern Saskatchewan, Canada. The project sits on the southwestern edge of the Athabasca Basin, one of the world's premier uranium-producing regions known for its high-grade deposits. Patterson Lake South is owned and being advanced by Fission Uranium, a Canadian exploration and development company. The deposit hosts uranium mineralisation in basement-hosted unconformity-related structures, with the main zone known as the Triple R deposit (R780E, R00E, and R840W zones). Mineralisation occurs at relatively shallow depths compared to many Athabasca Basin deposits, which may offer development advantages. The project has undergone extensive drilling and feasibility studies to define resources and evaluate development options. Patterson Lake South is considered a significant undeveloped uranium asset in Canada's nuclear fuel supply chain. The deposit's proximity to existing infrastructure and its location in a mining-friendly jurisdiction contribute to its strategic importance. Development of the project would add to Canada's position as a major global uranium producer, alongside operating mines such as Cigar Lake and McArthur River in the Athabasca Basin.
