Gold markets are now leaning toward a bull-case scenario where the price rises to $4 200/oz by mid-2026, UBS said in a note on Tuesday.

The bank pointed to factors including a weakening US dollar, strong central bank gold purchases, and rising ETF investments, while recommending a mid-single-digit portfolio allocation to the precious metal.

UBS highlighted gold's low correlation with equities and bonds as a hedge against inflation and geopolitical risks, while cautioning investors to consider risks tied to price volatility and potential US monetary policy shifts.
