The Middleburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) focusses on development and organisation of commercial and trade in the local Steve Tshwete Municipal area.
Moeketsi Mpotu, technical director, Brimis Engineering, a growing local firm has been appointed as President: Middelburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has a BSc (Mech Eng) from the University of the Witwatersrand, various professional certificates in risk-based inspections from Steinbeis Transfer Institute (Germany) and holds an executive development programme certificate (University of the Witwatersrand).
Mpotu says that as we navigate the altered business environment post Covid, it’s vital that we look to regional business in South Africa to strengthen our economy. Economic and social pressures over the last 18 months in South Africa have meant focussing on sustainable local business that are able to empower and uplift local economies has become increasing more important.
“MCCI strives to protect and advance business in Middelburg, and I am hopeful that we’ll be able to showcase all our local business achievements, and encourage others to join us to utilize the many offerings the chamber has to offer.
