Project Description
The project entails a further expansion of Shintech’s integrated PVC production capabilities at its existing Plaquemine manufacturing complex.
It also includes the construction of a second ethylene production unit and fourth chlor-alkali and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) production plants.
The expansion will increase Shintech’s ethylene production capacity by 625 000 t/y, VCM production capacity by 500 000 t/y and caustic soda production capacity by 310 000 t/y.
