Nsez And Teta To Host 2026 Logistics And Agro-processing Industrial Summit
The Nkomazi Special Economic Zone (NSEZ) will be hosting the Logistics and Agro-Processing Industrial Summit on the 10th of September 2026. The summit is an enterprise development and market access platform for MSMEs. It aims to facilitate the connection of fully operational and growth-stage MSMEs in logistics and Agro-Processing with potential corporate buyers, development finance institutions, logistics operators, and skills development partners.
To deliver an effective summit, NSEZ has partnered with the Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) to facilitate skills development and training across the transport sector which includes road freight, logistics, forwarding & clearing, freight handling, maritime, rail, and aerospace.
“TETA is a key player in shaping the skills and expertise needed to keep South Africa’s transport sector in motion and serves as a critical connector, bringing together industry, education, and government to train the next generation of transport professionals” said Mrs. Maphefo Anno-Frempong, TETA CEO.
The strategic partnership between NSEZ and TETA moves beyond a conventional summit to create potential funding pathways, enable potential export readiness, seek supply chain integration where applicable and, with the correct criteria and policies, create potential post-summit incubation eligibility and enablers for the benefit of MSMEs.
Commenting on the importance of the Summit as government’s approach to economic development, the Chairperson of the NSEZ Board, Mr said Mr V.V. Windvoel, noted that;
“The South African government seeks to transform the national economy into a globally competitive industrial economic potential of the region. The TETA and NSEZ partnership will use this summit as a catalyst for long-term participation in the logistics and Agro-processing value chain and tap into the potential economic power of our country”.
