Azule Energy, a company equally owned by Eni and bp, is the project operator. Sonangol E&P and Equinor are project participants.
Project Description
The Greater PAJ project is Angola’s first integrated cross-block development.
It is an offshore oil development integrating hydrocarbon resources across two adjacent concessions and brings together the Palas, Astraea and Juno fields in Block 31, and the Urano and Dione fields in Block 31/21.
The development will comprise 17 wells connected to a new floating production, storage and offloading vessel with a nameplate oil production capacity of 95 000 bbl/d and a gas export capacity of 70-million standard cubic feet a day.
Gas will be delivered to the Angola liquefied natural gas plant through a new export pipeline tied into the existing Block 31 gas export network.
