PERTH (miningweekly.com) – New Talisman Gold Mines has received approval from the New Zealand Department of Conservation for underground access at its Talisman mine.

The company said on Friday that it was an important milestone while awaiting the review of the Talisman mine workplan, and the issuance of an authority to enter and operate.

The company’s mine operator will now be able to undertake an inspection of the mine, including its structural integrity and electrical and ventilation systems, and will also now be able to carry out detailed planning for commencement of the bulk sampling programme and advancing the drive on Mystery vein.
