Early samples from Rome Resources' options in New Brunswick confirm tin, tungsten mineralisation
Aim-listed explorer Rome Resources has reported promising tin and tungsten mineralisation on its optioned claims in New Brunswick, Canada, with a field campaign underway and targeted sampling and trenching due to start soon.
Outcrop sampling has so far returned assays of up to 0.6% tin, 0.2% tungsten, 0.8% bismuth, 17 parts per million indium and 1.5% copper.
"These initial results at New Brunswick are highly encouraging, pointing to extensive mineralisation for tin and tungsten, along with the potential for higher value critical metals such as indium and bismuth. I am extremely pleased with the progress to date and we look forward to the trenching operations and the subsequent assay reporting, ultimately leading to a drill campaign in 2027," says CEO Paul Barrett.
Notably, Rome's options are located close to the Mount Pleasant deposit, which is a past-producing underground polymetallic underground mine.
Before starting a drill campaign, however, Rome will assess its position regarding the exercise of its option in the area following the 2026 field programme.
