PLS

PLS (Pilbara Minerals) is an Australian lithium producer focused on the production and export of spodumene concentrate, a key raw material for lithium chemicals used in electric vehicle batteries and energy storage systems. The company is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, and operates primarily in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, one of the world's most significant hard-rock lithium provinces. Pilbara Minerals is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) under the ticker PLS. The company's flagship asset is the Pilgangoora lithium-tantalum project, which includes a large-scale open-pit mining operation and processing facilities. Pilgangoora is one of the largest hard-rock lithium operations globally, with substantial mineral resources and production capacity. Pilbara Minerals supplies spodumene concentrate to lithium chemical converters and battery manufacturers in Asia, particularly in China and South Korea, as well as to international markets. The company has established offtake agreements and joint ventures with major players in the lithium supply chain, including partnerships with Chinese lithium processors and South Korean battery manufacturers. Pilbara Minerals plays a strategic role in the global critical minerals supply chain, supporting the transition to electric vehicles and renewable energy storage. The company was established in 2005 and commenced commercial production at Pilgangoora in 2018, subsequently expanding capacity to meet growing demand for battery-grade lithium raw materials.
