IBM

IBM (International Business Machines Corporation) is a multinational technology and consulting company operating in the information technology sector. It is headquartered in Armonk, New York, and operates in more than 170 countries. IBM is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and is a widely held blue-chip stock. The company provides hardware, software and consulting services spanning cloud computing, artificial intelligence, quantum computing and cybersecurity, including managed security services, incident response and identity security offerings. IBM holds a significant position in enterprise IT and business consulting, competing with firms such as Accenture, Microsoft and Amazon Web Services. It generates tens of billions of dollars in annual revenue and employs several hundred thousand people worldwide. Notable brands and units include Red Hat, which IBM acquired to strengthen its hybrid cloud business, and IBM Security, which offers threat intelligence and security operations services.
