Hyundai Motor

Hyundai Motor is a South Korean automotive manufacturer and one of the world's largest vehicle producers. The company is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, and operates manufacturing facilities and sales networks across Asia, Europe, North America and other global markets. Hyundai Motor is a core subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, which also includes Kia and Genesis brands. The company produces a wide range of passenger cars, sport utility vehicles and commercial vehicles, with annual production running into millions of units. Hyundai Motor has been a significant player in the shift towards electrification and alternative powertrains, investing heavily in battery electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel-cell technology and hybrid systems. Its fuel-cell models, including the Nexo, use platinum-group metals as catalysts in their fuel-cell stacks. The company is also active in carbon-reduction initiatives and has committed to expanding its zero-emission vehicle line-up as part of global decarbonisation efforts. Hyundai Motor collaborates with major suppliers such as Bosch and participates in recycling programmes for critical materials, including platinum and palladium recovered from fuel cells and catalytic converters. The company was founded in 1967 and has grown to become a leading global automotive brand with a strong presence in emerging and developed markets alike.
