Florida is a state in the south-eastern United States. Its capital is Tallahassee, while Miami is its largest metropolitan area and a major international business hub. With a population exceeding 22 million, Florida ranks as the third most populous US state and boasts the fourth-largest economy among American states. The state's economic profile is diverse, encompassing tourism, agriculture, aerospace, life sciences, international trade and financial services. Florida is renowned as a global tourism destination, anchored by theme parks in Orlando, beach resorts along both Atlantic and Gulf coasts, and the cruise industry centred in Miami and Port Canaveral.
