Fission Uranium

Fission Uranium is a Canadian uranium exploration and development company focused on advancing its flagship Patterson Lake South project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin. The company is headquartered in Kelowna, British Columbia, and is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Fission Uranium's primary asset is the high-grade Triple R uranium deposit at Patterson Lake South, one of the most significant recent uranium discoveries in the Athabasca Basin. The project is located in the southwestern part of the basin, a region known for hosting some of the world's richest uranium deposits. The company's strategy centres on developing Patterson Lake South through feasibility studies and permitting processes to bring the project into production. Fission Uranium operates in a sector experiencing renewed interest driven by global decarbonisation efforts and energy security concerns, which have increased demand for nuclear power and uranium. The company has attracted attention from major uranium producers seeking to expand their resource base. Fission Uranium was established in 2013 following a corporate restructuring that separated exploration assets, allowing focused development of the Patterson Lake South discovery. The company continues to advance technical and environmental studies to support the project's development pathway.
