CMOC

CMOC (China Molybdenum Company) is a Chinese mining and metals company focused on the extraction and processing of critical minerals and base metals. The company is headquartered in Luoyang, Henan province, China, and operates mines and processing facilities across multiple continents. CMOC is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Shanghai Stock Exchange, making it one of China's major publicly traded mining enterprises. The company's core products include copper, cobalt, molybdenum, tungsten, niobium and phosphates, with particular strategic emphasis on minerals essential to the energy transition and electric vehicle supply chains. CMOC holds significant market positions in cobalt and niobium production globally. The company operates major assets in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including the Tenke Fungurume copper-cobalt mine, as well as mines in Brazil, Australia and China. CMOC has expanded aggressively through international acquisitions over the past decade, positioning itself as a key supplier of battery metals and critical minerals to global markets. The company reported annual revenue exceeding $20-billion in recent years, reflecting its scale as one of the world's largest diversified mining groups. CMOC was founded in 2006 through the restructuring of state-owned mining assets and has since evolved into a multinational corporation with a workforce of tens of thousands across its operations.
