Brazil Potash

Brazil Potash is a mining development company focused on the exploration and development of potash resources in Brazil, a country that imports most of the potash it uses in agriculture. The company operates through its Brazilian subsidiary, Potássio do Brasil, which holds the Autazes Potash Project in the state of Amazonas. Its principal asset targets large-scale potash production intended to supply Brazil's substantial fertiliser market, reducing reliance on imported potash from countries such as Russia, Belarus and Canada. Brazil Potash operates in the critical minerals and agricultural inputs sector, with potash classified as a key input for crop nutrition. The company is listed on public equity markets, allowing it to raise capital for project development and permitting processes. Its core focus is the advancement of the Autazes deposit through environmental licensing, community engagement and feasibility studies ahead of a construction decision. The company positions itself as a strategic supplier aiming to strengthen Brazil's fertiliser self-sufficiency and reduce the country's trade deficit in agricultural inputs. Brazil Potash has engaged with local stakeholders, including indigenous communities near the Autazes region, as part of its project approval process. The company's development timeline has involved navigating Brazil's regulatory and judicial processes related to mining permits. Brazil Potash's activities are closely tied to Brazil's broader push to develop domestic critical minerals and reduce dependence on imported agricultural commodities.
