Owner and developer of the Bakubung platinum group metals mine in South Africa's North West province Wesizwe Platinum says it expects to release its financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2025, by no later than January 31, 2026.

The publication of its interim financial statements for the period has been deferred, as a result of delays in the finalisation of its financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2024, with those results having finally been published on September 30, 2025.

Wesizwe announced in December 2024 that it had fallen victim to a sophisticated cyberattack, which resulted in unauthorised access to its computer systems.

This was followed, in March 2025, with an announcement that the cyberattack had a significant impact on the availability of the company’s financial reporting systems, which necessitated the implementation of alternative manual processes and controls, resulting in additional time being needed to obtain and verify financial information for audit. This resulted in the delay in the publication of Wesizwe's results for the 2024 financial year.
