Canadian uranium explorer Terra Clean Energy Corporation has completed the acquisition, compilation and digitisation of a significant historical exploration database for its 100%-owned Marysvale Uranium Mines in Utah.

The project includes the past-producing Prospector and Freedom uranium mines, which historically accounted for a substantial portion of the district's uranium production of 1.33-million pounds of uranium oxide at average grades of 0.22%.

The newly acquired historical database includes thousands of feet of drill logs, underground geological mapping, production records, assay certificates, geochemical data, mine plans, level maps, cross-sections and technical reports generated by previous operators.

Terra Clean Energy has digitised and integrated these datasets into a comprehensive three-dimensional geological model using modern exploration software, which is providing the company with an enhanced understanding of the structural controls, mineralised zones and potential extensions of uranium mineralisation both along strike and at depth beneath the historical workings.

Notably, Terra Clean Energy CEO Greg Cameron says the information that have otherwise been extremely costly and time-consuming to recreate. "By incorporating this data into a modern three-dimensional model, we now have a much stronger technical foundation for targeting extensions of known mineralisation and planning our upcoming drill programme."

Terra Clean Energy says the historical data confirms the significant exploration potential of Marysvale Uranium Mines and demonstrates that previous mining activities were focused on only a portion of the known mineralised system.

The company will use the newly compiled database, as well as recently completed airborne radiometric and photogrammetric surveys to finalise drill targets.

Terra Clean Energy is also developing the South Falcon East uranium project in the Athabasca Basin region of Saskatchewan and uranium exploration properties in Wyoming.
