ASX- and LSE-listed Resolute Mining says its Syama mine, in southern Mali, has not been affected by security incidents and unrest in Bamako and four other cities in central and northern parts of Mali.

"At this stage, there has been no impact to the safety of personnel, supply chains or production.

"Resolute continues to closely monitor the situation and remains in regular contact with local authorities, security advisors and in‑country teams. The safety and wellbeing of employees and contractors remain the company's highest priority, and established security and travel protocols are in place," the company assures its stakeholders.

Newswire Reuters has reported renewed fighting between insurgents and government forces in the Mali capital over the past weekend, which resulted in the death of the country's Defence Minister Sadio Camara.
