Project Description
Rock Tech announced preliminary definitive feasibility study (DFS) results on the project in October 2026.

The proposed converter will produce about 30 000 t/y of lithium salts, drawing on engineering and process knowledge developed for Rock Tech’s Guben converter, in Germany.

The facility is planned for BMI Group’s industrial site, which has access to power, natural gas, roads and CPKC Rail’s transcontinental mainline.

Preliminary DFS results estimate total capital costs at C$596-million comprising C$546-million in direct capital costs and C$50-million in owner’s costs, with a tolerance of about 20%.
