ASX-listed Red Mountain Mining has reported consistent tungsten mineralisation coupled with strong copper, silver and gold values returned from assay results on its wholly-owned Pioneer tungsten project, in Montana, in the US.

Having taken 50 rock chip samples, 31 of those returned grades of more than 1 000 parts per million (ppm) tungsten trioxide across the Greenstone, Glow Worm and Lost Creek deposits.

Notable intercepts include tungsten trioxide grading 5 473 ppm (or 0.55%) at Greenstone, 4 036 ppm (or 0.40%) at Glow Worm and 3 241 ppm (or 0.32%) at Lost Creek.

Some of the standout precious and base metals results include up to 6.72% copper, 462 g/t silver and 3.88 g/t gold, showing strong polymetallic potential at the Greenstone and Glow Worm prospects.

The Pioneer project now covers 517 ha, which is more than double its original footprint. It is also located next to Almonty Industries' A$7-billion Gentung tungsten deposit, which holds a resource of 6.8-million tonnes grading 0.315% tungsten trioxide.

Red Mountain confirms that much of its Mammoth and Lost Creek prospects remain underexplored with a fresh field programme planned for October to test this open ground.
