Canada-listed Purecore Metals has started with a comprehensive data compilation and technical review programme at the Yurchison uranium property, in Saskatchewan.

This will consolidate historical and modern geological, geochemical, geophysical and exploration information into an integrated project database and geological framework.

The dataset will be used to refine areas of interest, identify where multiple layers of technical evidence converge and prioritise targets for future field exploration.

"Yurchison has decades of exploration history and a significant volume of modern geophysical data. This programme brings that information together into an integrated geological framework to refine our understanding of the property and prioritise areas for future exploration," says Purecore CEO and president Peter Berdusco.

Yurchison consists of 22 claims covering 35 029 ha of mineral tenure in the Athabasca basin. Purecore may acquire an initial 70% interest in the properties by making cash payments to TSX-V-listed Skyharbour of C$350 000 as well as issue it C$700 000 worth of shares, while spending C$3.5-million on exploration expenditures.

The properties are also subject to a 2% net smelter return royalty due to Skyharbour upon future development. Purecore may earn the remaining 30% interest in Yurchison through additional cash payments of $3-million and the issue of shares to the value of $3-million.
