Name of the Mine
McCreedy West mine.

Location
In Levack township, within the City of Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, about 40 km north-west of downtown Sudbury, on the North Range of the Sudbury Igneous Complex.

Mine Owner/s
Base metals producer Magna Mining Inc, through its wholly owned subsidiary Project Nikolas Company Inc.

Brief Description
McCreedy West is an operating, ramp-access underground copper mine with nickel and precious metals credits. It hosts contact nickel/copper mineralisation and copper-rich footwall deposits. Current mining and the reserve-based mine plan focus on the 700 Complex and PM footwall zones. The adjacent Levack mine is connected underground through the 1600 Level haulage drift.

Ore is crushed and sampled on site before being transported to Vale’s Clarabelle mill for processing under an offtake agreement.

Brief History
Mond Nickel Company acquired the property, formerly known as Levack West, in 1913. Inco acquired it following its merger with Mond in 1929. The Main Zone was discovered in 1939; access development started in 1970 and mining started in 1974.

FNX entered into an option agreement over the property in 2002 and restarted production in 2003. The PM Zone entered production in 2005. Contact nickel production was suspended in late 2008 following falling commodity prices. FNX combined with Quadra in 2010, and KGHM completed its acquisition of Quadra FNX in March 2012.

The mine was placed on temporary care and maintenance in 2015, with a brief production campaign in 2016. Operations ramped up again in 2018, followed by full production in 2019. Magna completed its acquisition in February 2025.

Primary Metals/Minerals
Copper.

Secondary Metals/Minerals
Nickel, platinum, palladium, gold, silver and cobalt occur in the mineral inventory. Platinum and palladium are the principal platinum group elements reported in the reserve and resource estimates.

Geology/Mineralisation
The mine is situated on the margin of the estimated 1.85-billion-year-old Sudbury Igneous Complex, within the Levack Embayment. The basal contact dips south-southeast at about 35°. Footwall rocks comprise mainly granitic gneisses and migmatites, locally affected by Sudbury breccia.

Contact nickel/copper mineralisation occurs in Sublayer Norite and granite breccia along the base of the complex, including the Intermain, East Main, Upper Main and Lower Main zones. These deposits contain high-grade sulphide pods surrounded by lower-grade mineralisation, with pyrrhotite, pentlandite and chalcopyrite.

The 700 Complex contains sharp-walled copper/nickel/platinum group element veins, while the PM Zone is a low-sulphide footwall deposit. Both occur in Sudbury breccia and are dominated by chalcopyrite, with subordinate nickel sulphides. Footwall mineralisation is richer in copper, platinum, palladium, gold and silver than the contact deposits.

Reserves
Probable mineral reserves, effective December 31, 2025, total 987 000 t grading 1.59% copper, 0.32% nickel, 0.01% cobalt, 1.15 g/t platinum, 1.23 g/t palladium, 0.32 g/t gold and 6.65 g/t silver. These comprise 948 000 t in the 700/PM zones and 39 000 t of broken inventory. No proven reserves are reported.

Resources
Mineral resources, effective December 31, 2025, are exclusive of mineral reserves and mined-out material. Total indicated resources are 5.63-million tonnes grading 1.10% copper, 0.98% nickel, 0.03% cobalt, 0.82 g/t platinum, 0.92 g/t palladium, 0.23 g/t gold and 5.15 g/t silver. Inferred resources total 874,000 t, grading 1.37% copper, 1% nickel, 0.02% cobalt, 1.26 g/t platinum, 1.24 g/t palladium, 0.26 g/t gold and 4.12 g/t silver.

The footwall component contains 3.01-million tonnes in indicated resources and 813 000 t in inferred, resources reported at a 2% copper-equivalent cutoff. The contact component contains 2.62-million tonnes indicated and 61 000 t inferred, reported at a 1.1% nickel-equivalent cutoff.

Type of Mine
Underground.

Mining Method
Longhole open stoping, adapted to both wider mineralised zones and narrow footwall veins. Wider stopes use twin-boom development jumbos; narrower stopes use single-boom jumbos or conventional development.

Major Infrastructure/Equipment
Infrastructure includes the surface portal and decline, ventilation and escapeway raises, the underground connection to Levack, dewatering systems, ore and waste pads, crushing and sampling facilities, an ore sorter, workshops, offices, a warehouse and a weigh scale. A Steinert X-ray transmission ore sorter can be used when upgrading ore provides an economic benefit.

The mining fleet includes four underground haul trucks with capacities of 50 t, 42 t, 42 t and 30 t; eight load-haul-dump units; two twin-boom and one single-boom development jumbos; two Stopemaster production drills; and mechanised ground-support and service equipment.

Power is supplied through a 69 kV connection to the Vale network. Municipal water serves the offices and change facilities, while the Onaping river supplies process water. There is no on-site tailings impoundment. Vale’s Clarabelle mill is the processing destination.

Prospects
Potential exists to expand known resources and discover additional copper and platinum group element footwall deposits, particularly in the underexplored breccia between McCreedy West and Levack.
