ASX-listed InVert Graphite has reported a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) of 32.2-million tonnes at 8% total graphite content (TGC) for 2.56-million tonnes of contained graphite for the Kumba deposit at the company’s Morogoro graphite project, in Tanzania.

The MRE is classified entirely as inferred.

The deposit starts from surface, with 97% of the resource within the top 75 m, and remains open down dip.

The MRE was achieved in 14 months since the company’s relisting on the ASX and less than 12 months from the start of the maiden drilling programme, InVert highlights.

Drilling is to focus on the resource category upgrade and samples for metallurgical studies.

The Kumba graphite deposit is complemented by the recently announced strategy to acquire RapidGraphite in IVG’s quest to become a fully integrated graphite company.

InVert MD Andrew Lawson lauds the MRE as a “standout result”.

“With the majority of the Resource sitting at or near surface, and with plenty of upside, this result confirms Kumba as a substantial, high-grade graphite system providing an excellent foundation to build on.

“Drilling is targeted to recommence in September, and our focus now shifts to upgrading the resource and collecting metallurgical testwork samples, as we continue to advance Morogoro towards development,” he says.
