TSX-listed Bunker Hill Mining Corporation has successfully completed the first production stope blast at the historic Bunker Hill mine, in Idaho, as the company works to redevelop the legacy asset back into a producing underground operation.

This milestone coincided with Bunker Hill Mining having reached four consecutive years of development without a lost-time incident and one year without a recordable safety incident.

Bunker Hill Mining expects the mine to reach commercial production by the end of the year.

President and CEO Sam Ash says the first production stope blast follows extensive underground rehabilitation, development and infrastructure work to prepare the mine for a restart of operations. "We are now advancing the next stages of stope development and mining production as it continues to ramp up underground mining activities in ways that support the planned 1 800 t/d operation," he confirms.
