BlueVision partners with Canadian based ShadowHQ bringing accelerated disaster response times to the SA market

In a disaster scenario seconds count, system outages and business downtime increase the risk of financial loss and reputational damage. This is according to BlueVision who has announced a strategic alliance with ShadowHQ that will see the cyber specialist become an authorised reseller and delivery partner for, across Sub-Saharan Africa.
ShadowHQ – a winner of the cybersecurity breakthrough award and security response solution of the year – is based in Ontario, Canada and is a leading player in the development and deployment of secure communications and encryption technologies. ShadowHQ assists national and global brands to build and deploy trusted technology in ultra-secure environments.
BlueVision is a CREST-accredited cybersecurity and managed services company with operations across Southern Africa and the United Arab Emirates. The company focuses on early intervention, proactive threat detection, and practical security outcomes that help businesses to reduce risk and maintain business continuity.
“ShadowHQ equips businesses with secure response tools and a safe haven to recover from emergencies. It offers an all-in-one platform that arms companies’ disaster and incident response teams with everything needed to react to critical events quickly,” says Christo Coetzer, MD, BlueVision.
He reveals SSO credential theft drives nearly 80% of breaches. “When attackers gain access, teams need a secure alternative.”
“We are excited to partner with BlueVision to bring ShadowHQ’s secure, out-of-band cyber incident response platform to organisations across sub-Saharan Africa,” says Nick Scozzaro, CEO of ShadowHQ. “BlueVision’s regional expertise and strong focus on cyber resilience make them an ideal partner to help organisations prepare for incidents, coordinate their response securely, and maintain control when their primary systems and communications may be compromised.”
Coetzer highlights the fact that the systems businesses rely on are compromised the moment attackers acquire SSO credentials. “ShadowHQ remains operational when everything else is compromised. Teams at breached organisations need a response platform attackers can't see or touch. Once networks are accessed and SSO credentials stolen, standard channels become their surveillance tools. ShadowHQ provides the secure, isolated platform to counter attacks within minutes,” notes Coetzer.
He confirms the path to effective incident response lies with preparing a secure response strategy by running real-world tabletop drills to stress-test responses and expose vulnerabilities before they’re exploited. “Organisations need to improve cyber resilience and execute response playbooks on secure channels beyond the eyes of their attackers.”
Coetzer says the trick is to stop reacting and start preparing. “Companies must stop scrambling with inadequate tools during incidents. BlueVision helps customers to discover exactly where they should be focusing first.
“By integrating ShadowHQ into our service delivery, BlueVision clients benefit from a proven CSIR platform that accelerates response times, improves stakeholder communication, and ensures audit-ready documentation throughout an incident,” concludes Coetzer.
