AQS Liquid Transfer, an importer and distributor of pumps in southern Africa, started operating in 2003.

In 2016, AxFlow, a division of Axel Johnson International, acquired a majority stake in AQS Liquid Transfer.

The company carries several product ranges for the mining, industrial, agricultural and utility markets.

AQS values the strong partnerships it has forged with its suppliers and clients and strives to consistently unlock value for every customer, every time, by providing trusted pumping solutions within a culture of adaptability and passion.

The company highlights its passion and enthusiasm for what it does, going the extra mile for its clients to provide them with their ideal pumping solution and exceeding their expectations by doing things differently within the often impersonal and generic industry.

AxFlow AQS MD Leon Fourie spoke to Engineering News & Mining Weekly during the Electra Mining Africa event, held in Johannesburg from 7 to 11 September 2026.
