Hillside Gold Project

The Hillside Gold Project is a gold exploration asset located in Matabeleland South province, in Zimbabwe. It is held by Kavango Resources, a minerals exploration company with interests across southern Africa. The project forms part of a portfolio of gold targets being advanced in the region as the company seeks to identify economically viable deposits. Exploration work at the site includes geological mapping, sampling and drilling aimed at defining a resource base. The project falls under the regulatory oversight of Zimbabwe's Ministry of Mines and Mining Development, which administers mineral rights and licensing in the country. Gold mining remains a significant contributor to Zimbabwe's export earnings and foreign-currency generation, making new discoveries of strategic interest to both investors and government. Progress at Hillside is typically reported through exploration updates detailing drilling results and resource targets. The project is at an early stage relative to production, with further exploration required before any development decision could be considered. Its advancement is closely tied to broader efforts by junior explorers to unlock gold potential in Matabeleland South's geological terrain.
