Highland Copper

Highland Copper is a North American copper development company focused on advancing copper projects in the United States. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, and operates primarily in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Highland Copper's flagship asset is the Copperwood project, a copper development located in the historic White Pine mining district of Michigan. The project is positioned to benefit from growing demand for copper as a critical mineral essential to electrification, renewable energy infrastructure and electric vehicle manufacturing. The company has assembled a portfolio of copper resources in a region with established mining heritage and existing infrastructure. Highland Copper has engaged engineering and environmental consultancies including DRA Americas, WSP, Tetra Tech and Foth Infrastructure and Environment to advance feasibility studies, permitting and project design. The company has also secured financial backing from investors including Greenstone Resource Partners and has pursued project financing arrangements with institutions such as the US Export-Import Bank (US EXIM). Highland Copper's leadership team includes executives with experience in mining development and operations across North America and internationally. The company was established to capitalise on the strategic importance of domestic copper supply in the United States and the resurgence of interest in critical minerals development.
