Ewoyaa Lithium Project

The Ewoyaa lithium project is a hard-rock spodumene lithium development located in the Central region of Ghana, West Africa. It is one of the country's flagship lithium projects, targeting the extraction of lithium-bearing pegmatites for processing into spodumene concentrate for export. The project has been advanced through exploration and feasibility work supported by international technical partners, including Intertek for assay and testing services. Ghana's Minerals Commission oversees licensing and regulatory compliance for the project, reflecting the country's push to develop a domestic lithium sector amid rising global demand for battery metals. Ewoyaa has attracted significant interest from lithium-focused mining companies seeking exposure to West African deposits, given growing global demand for lithium used in electric-vehicle batteries and energy storage. The project forms part of a broader push by Ghana to position itself as an emerging lithium producer on the continent, alongside other prospects such as the Asamankese and Bougouni projects associated with similar corporate groupings. Development has progressed through stages of exploration, resource definition and feasibility studies ahead of a planned construction and production phase. Its advancement is closely tied to Ghana's mining policy framework, including local content and beneficiation requirements. The project's significance lies in its potential to contribute to Ghana's mineral export revenue and to diversify the country's mining sector beyond gold.
