Eurasian Resources

Eurasian Resources is a natural resources company operating in the mining and metals sector. The company is headquartered in Luxembourg and maintains operations across multiple continents, with significant activities in Africa, Central Asia and South America. Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) is a major producer of ferrochrome, iron ore, alumina and aluminium, as well as a significant supplier of cobalt and copper. The company operates large-scale mining and processing facilities, including integrated mining and smelting complexes. In Africa, Eurasian Resources has substantial operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where it produces copper and cobalt through its subsidiaries. The company's Congolese operations include both industrial mining facilities and engagement with artisanal mining communities. Eurasian Resources employs tens of thousands of people across its global operations and generates billions of dollars in annual revenue. The company is privately held, with ownership including Kazakh shareholders and the government of Kazakhstan. Eurasian Resources was established in the 1990s following the privatisation of Soviet-era mining and metallurgical assets in Kazakhstan.
