Ben Magara

Ben Magara is a South African mining executive who serves as CEO of Ntsimbintle Holdings, a diversified mining and resources investment company. He is a prominent figure in the South African mining sector, known for his leadership roles in major resource companies. Magara previously held the position of CEO at Lonmin, the platinum producer, where he led the company through a challenging period of restructuring and operational improvement following the Marikana tragedy. Before Lonmin, he served in senior executive roles at Anglo American Platinum (Amplats), where he gained extensive experience in platinum-group metals operations. His career has spanned multiple commodities and operational contexts, giving him broad expertise in mining strategy, stakeholder engagement and corporate turnaround.
