Atlas Copco

Atlas Copco is a Swedish multinational industrial company that manufactures and supplies compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools and assembly systems. The company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and operates in more than 180 countries through a network of subsidiaries, distributors and service centres. Atlas Copco is listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm stock exchange and is a constituent of the OMX Stockholm 30 index. Its core product portfolio includes compressed air equipment, industrial tools, construction equipment and mining machinery, serving sectors such as manufacturing, mining, construction, oil and gas, and general industry. The company holds a significant market position in the global compressor and mining equipment markets, with annual revenues exceeding 140-billion Swedish kronor and a workforce of around 43 000 employees worldwide. Atlas Copco operates through several business areas, including Compressor Technique, Vacuum Technique, Industrial Technique and Power Technique, each focused on specific product lines and customer segments. Principal brands include Atlas Copco, Chicago Pneumatic, Edwards and Dynapac. The company was founded in 1873 as AB Atlas in Stockholm, initially producing railway equipment, and adopted the name Atlas Copco in 1956 after expanding into compressor manufacturing and acquiring the Belgian company Cooppal.
