TSX-listed Wallbridge Mining has temporarily evacuated staff and suspended exploration owing to forest fire risks near its Detour-Fenelon gold trend property, in Québec.

This follows an evacuation order issued by Québec's provincial wildfire management agency Sopfeu and the province's Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests owing to increasing wildland fire danger in the area.

Wallbridge CEO Brian Penny affirms that the health and safety of employees and contractors is the company's highest priority and that the company immediately activated its emergency response procedures following the executive order.

He adds the company will monitor conditions closely and resume exploration activities when authorities determine it safe to do so.

The company holds a contiguous mineral property position totalling 598 km2 that extends approximately 82 km along the Detour-Fenelon gold trend. The property is host to Wallbridge's flagship preliminary economic stage Fenelon gold project, and its earlier exploration stage Martiniere gold project, as well as numerous greenfield gold projects.
