Tru-Trac focuses on conveyor performance at Electra Mining Africa 2026
At Electra Mining Africa 2026, conveyor systems solution supplier Tru-Trac will focus on changing how operations approach conveyor system problems by promoting a more engineering-led and system-focused approach to conveyor performance.
According to the company, conveyor issues such as belt misalignment, carryback, spillage, excessive idler wear and belt damage are often treated as isolated maintenance issues when they are frequently symptoms of broader system-related problems. Tru-Trac believes that repeatedly replacing failed components without identifying the underlying cause often results in the same failures returning, leading to ongoing downtime, maintenance costs and reduced operational efficiency.
Rather than positioning itself purely as a supplier of individual conveyor components, Tru-Trac aims to position itself as a conveyor performance partner focused on root-cause diagnosis and long-term reliability improvement.
The company’s approach begins with assessing the complete conveyor environment to better understand operating conditions and system behaviour. This is followed by identifying the root cause of the visible problem before specifying and implementing the appropriate corrective solution. Tru-Trac also continues to support conveyor performance through inspections and ongoing technical support.
The company says conveyor performance should not be viewed only as a maintenance issue, but as an operational and production priority that directly affects uptime, safety, belt life and overall plant efficiency.
