TSX- and NYSE-listed Teck Resources has appointed Edwin Shadeo treasurer and acting VP for investor relations effective immediately, succeeding Emma Chapman, who is leaving Teck to pursue new professional opportunities.

Shadeo has developed extensive relationships within the capital markets, which, combined with his longstanding experience in investor relations, equips him well to lead Teck's engagement with shareholders, says Teck president and CEO Jonathan Price.

Shadeo joined Teck in 2005 as strategic analyst for business development in coal, and has held progressively more senior and leadership roles in investor relations, corporate development, the office of the president and treasury.

Teck has a portfolio of world-class copper and zinc operations across North and South America.
