The Mount Polley mine in British Columbia has met its 2024 production target, producing 35.7-million pounds of copper and 39 108 oz of gold.

Imperial Metals has targeted 34-million to 37-million pounds of copper production and 37 000 oz to 41 000 oz of gold from Mount Polley.

During the fourth quarter, 1.66-million tonnes of ore were treated, up 6% year-on-year, delivering an 11% increase in copper output at 9.24-million pounds, while gold output reduced 7.6% to 9 564 oz.

Imperial says it will release production figures from its Red Chris mine when the reconciled information is received from Newmont.
