South Africa- and UK-listed Marula Mining has advised it will host a site visit at its Kinusi copper mine, in Tanzania, to show a European commodity trading group its high-grade copper concentrate process, as part of ongoing grade verification from samples.

CEO Jason Brewer will accompany representatives of trading groups, Tanzanian logistics consultants and representatives from independent laboratories in Tanzania on a site visit next week.

During the site visit, further check samples of the “ready for sale” copper concentrates will be taken by the laboratory representatives, while Marula will also be conducting quality assurance and control measures to ensure the accuracy of the results.

The logistics representatives will inspect the current facilities to help arrange the proposed transportation of the product from the mine through to a bonded warehouse in Dar es Salaam.

Marula plans to start initial mining activity from Kinusi before the end of the year.
