Australian producer Lynas Rare Earths has secured a ten-year renewal of its Malaysian operating licence, providing longer-term certainty for its downstream processing operations and supply chain partners.

The company said on Monday that Malaysia’s atomic energy regulator had confirmed the renewal of the Lynas Malaysia operating licence for a further decade from March 3, 2026. The formal licence will be issued in due course.

“Lynas welcomes the longer licence term which provides greater investment certainty for Lynas and for our rare earths supply chain partners and customers," said CEO and MD Amanda Lacaze.

“On behalf of all Lynas employees, we thank the Malaysian government for its attention to this matter and its support for the rare earths industry in Malaysia.”
