ASX-listed International Graphite (IG6) has awarded Bunbury-based construction company Prosser Built with a key construction contract at the Collie micronising facility, in Western Australia.

Prosser Built has a solid 80-year track record in delivering industrial and commercial projects across the southwest of Western Australia.

The process building's construction, which Prosser Built will be responsible for, will be delivered with support from local engineering, electrical, civil and earthmoving firms as part of a local content strategy that IG6 has developed.

The contract price agreed between the companies is within the project's budgeted capital cost estimate, which includes $6.3-million for Stage 1 and $1.7-million for Stage 2.

IG6 confirms that the graphite micronising equipment required for Stage 1 of construction has been selected and ordered.

The company is now undertaking vendor testwork to finalise equipment selections for Stage 2 of the project's construction, with orders expected to be placed in the next quarter.

The full development for both stages of the project is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2027.

The Collie facility remains supported by the Western Australian government through the Collie Industrial Transition Fund and the national government through the Critical Minerals Office.
