Industrial components supplier Essentra Components aims to be the world’s leading, seamless supplier of essential industrial components. The company is committed to supporting its customers in achieving their sustainability goals and objectives by developing sustainable industrial component solutions.

Essentra has established ambitious targets for reducing its emissions, which have been validated and approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as being aligned with a 1.5 °C trajectory. The company aims to achieve net-zero emissions from its own operations by 2040 and across its value chain by 2050. By 2030, Essentra also aims to halve emissions from its own operations and reduce its Scope 3 value-chain emissions by 55% per pound sterling of value added.

The company is also focused on manufacturing more sustainable components. Recycled content is already used as standard across a range of more than 7 000 products globally, while many of Essentra’s new general protection ranges from BMP are available in recycled materials.

Essentra continues to invest in innovation through its new Centre of Excellence research and development centre. As part of its sustainability commitments, the company aims to source 50% of the raw materials used across its polymer ranges from sustainable sources by 2030. Across its general protection and security seal ranges, the company aims to source 100% of raw materials from sustainable sources by 2030.
