ED series EtherCAT Terminals
Users have been benefiting from the excellent performance, modular scalability, and user-friendliness of Beckhoff’s EtherCAT Terminals since 2003. With the ED series, the entire portfolio is now undergoing a technological upgrade while remaining fully compatible with the existing series.
The new ED series EtherCAT Terminals are characterised by a modernised design, tool-free installation via push-in connection, and app-based diagnostics via DMC code. This systematic further development of the I/O system for the control cabinet makes signal acquisition more efficient and, like the original bus and EtherCAT Terminals, is intended to set a standard for the future.
This is achieved, among other things, by means of the flexible integration options offered by the ED terminals, which help to ensure future viability and investment protection. The simplified handling speeds up installation, commissioning, and maintenance. As maintenance is simplified, downtime is minimised and system availability is increased. Furthermore, the ED terminals enable easy traceability for quality assurance and spare parts management.
All in all, these new IP20 EtherCAT Terminals reduce system costs without compromising on functionality or performance.
