Bradda Head sampling demonstrates strong lithium prospectivity across multiple targets at Whistlejacket
Having secured an exploration and drilling permit at the end of May, Aim-listed Bradda Head Lithium says new surface sampling assay results at the Whistlejacket lithium project, in Arizona, demonstrate strong lithium prospectivity across multiple target areas.
The surface sampling assays returned high values of 3.03% lithium oxide, with 18 samples having exceeded 0.59% lithium oxide grades out of 60 samples. The results confirm widespread lithium mineralisation associated with spodumene-bearing pegmatites exposed at surface.
Bradda Head chairperson Ian Stalker comments the company is highly encouraged by the new assay results from the first stage of Whistlejacket's surface sampling programme. "The programme has refined and improved our exploration targeting and further reinforces the project's strong lithium potential.
"The next set of results will further add to the knowledge base and hopefully add further new targets."
Bradda Head will continue with more sampling work, including collecting 290 chip samples. The sampling programme is designed to refine and improve both previously identified and newly generated drilling targets. In parallel, a channel sampling campaign is also being planned to further evaluate and define lithium mineralisation across priority target areas, with execution expected following completion of the upcoming drill campaign.
Meanwhile, the company also completed its first technical meeting under the Technical Committee for the Whistlejacket project, together with Rio Tinto subsidiary Kennecott Exploration Company, which included a review of current exploration programmes, technical priorities and upcoming drill targets identified across the project area.
The committee comprises two representatives from each party to oversee and guide exploration activities across the project area, in an advisory capacity.
