Infrastructure development leader Bigen, is increasingly being recognised for its commitment to business excellence, addressing Africa’s economic challenges, and supporting the achievement of governments’ sustainable development goals through delivering innovative infrastructure development solutions. Most recently, Bigen was honoured with the National Business of The Year and the Vision 2030 Infrastructure Development Company of the Year Awards at Topco Media’s Vision 2030 Awards function – South Africa’s Future Makers, on 20 November 2019.

These annual awards recognise achievements, success stories, innovation, high ethics and alignment to the government’s Nine-Point Plan to boost economic growth and achieve the milestones set by the National Development Plan (NDP).

Bigen was awarded the V2030 Infrastructure Development Award based on the Group’s commitment and significant contributions to moving the South African nation forward, as a leader in the infrastructure development sector and as a proponent of the NDP. This achievement places Bigen at the forefront of national development and reinforces the importance of private and public sector support for and commitment to the NDP.

Bigen also clinched a second award – the National Business of the Year Award – based on its commitment to socio-economic development and its valuable contributions made to social and environmental sustainability through service excellence, commitment to customers, ethical behaviour and environmental sustainability.
