PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Iron-ore major Fortescue’s CFO has quit, just days after CEO Fiona Hick resigned.

The company on Thursday reported the departure of CFO Christine Morris, and announced the appointment of group manager finance and tax, Apple Paget as acting CFO.

Morris joined Fortescue as CFO in July this year, and she has some 30 years of financial experience in energy, media, telecommunications, accounting, manufacturing and technology. Prior to joining Fortescue she served as CFO at Maersk Drilling in Denmark, and has been CFO for oilfield services company BJ Services.

Morris replaced Ian Wells, who resigned in January this year. Wells was appointed CFO in February 2018.

Hick quit at the start of the week after only six months at the helm.
