Temiskaming Shores

Temiskaming Shores is a city in north-eastern Ontario, Canada, formed in 2004 through the amalgamation of the towns of New Liskeard, Haileybury and Dymond. It sits on the shores of Lake Temiskaming, near the border with Quebec, within the wider Temiskaming District. The city has a population of roughly ten thousand and serves as a regional service centre for surrounding agricultural and mining communities. Its economy has historically been anchored in farming, forestry and mineral processing, reflecting the district's long association with silver and cobalt mining dating back to the early twentieth century.
