Pensana Rare Earths

Pensana Rare Earths is a mining and processing company focused on the development of rare-earth projects, with operations spanning Africa and Europe. The company is headquartered in the United Kingdom and is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Pensana's flagship asset is the Longonjo rare-earths project in Angola, located in Huambo province, which is being developed to produce neodymium, praseodymium and other critical rare-earth oxides used in permanent magnets for electric vehicles, wind turbines and electronics. The company is also advancing the Saltend rare-earths separation facility in the UK, designed to process rare-earth concentrates into finished oxides for European and global markets. Pensana positions itself as a supplier of responsibly sourced rare earths outside Chinese dominance of the sector. The Longonjo project benefits from proximity to the Benguela railway and the Port of Lobito, providing export access. Pensana has engaged engineering firms including Lycopodium and consultants such as SRK Consulting to advance feasibility and construction. The company aims to contribute to the supply of critical minerals essential for the energy transition and advanced manufacturing.
