Liquid Intelligent Technologies

Liquid Intelligent Technologies is a pan-African technology group providing telecommunications, cloud computing and cybersecurity services across the continent. The company is headquartered in London and operates in more than 20 African countries, as well as in the Middle East and Asia. It is a subsidiary of Econet Global, the international investment arm of Zimbabwean businessman Strive Masiyiwa's Econet Group. Liquid Intelligent Technologies operates one of Africa's largest independent fibre-optic networks, spanning more than 100 000 km and connecting major cities and business hubs. The company's core services include fibre-optic broadband, data centres, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity solutions and digital payment platforms. It serves enterprise clients, telecommunications operators, governments and retail customers. The group was formed in 2020 through the consolidation of several Econet technology businesses, including Liquid Telecom, which had been operating since the early 2000s. Liquid Intelligent Technologies positions itself as a key enabler of digital transformation in Africa, supporting the rollout of connectivity infrastructure and digital services across underserved markets. The company has invested heavily in subsea cable systems and terrestrial fibre routes to improve international and regional connectivity. It competes with other major African telecommunications and fibre operators in the enterprise and wholesale markets.
